In the end it came down to the finest of margins for England as Eoin Morgan's side lifted the World Cup due to a superior boundary count at Lord's on Sunday.

Morgan's men posted 15 runs in the super over and as New Zealand had 14 with one final ball remaining, they had to push for two runs as a draw would have seen the final separated by a boundary count - a statistic which favoured England.
